Houston Texans

DeAndre Hopkins/Cecil Shorts (Wide Receivers): The Houston passing attack is seriously bottoming out, neither Brian Hoyer nor Ryan Mallett are a good fit for this offense and both have the capacity to be wildly inaccurate. Hopkins and Shorts will suffer because of this. Hopkins only reeled in 5 out of his 11 targets for 53 yards. Shorts could only reel in 6 out of 12 targets for 34 yards which is a little bit worse. Both players will suffer because of quarterback issues.

Alfred Blue/Chris Polk/ Jonathan Grimes (Running Backs): The rushing game has been suffering all season and will not be the slightest bit relevant until Arian Foster returns. Blue finished the game with 5 carries for 6 yards, Grimes finished with 2 carries for 7 yards, and Polk had 14 carries and 38 yards. The Texans appear to change their bell cow every week just as frequently as they change quarterbacks.

Carolina Panthers

Cam Newton (Quarterback): Newton had a solid day against a tough Texans defense completing 18/37 passes for 195 yards, 2 touchdowns and an interception. He also added 76 yards rushing on 10 carries and a touchdown. Newton should continue to be a solid fantasy quarterback in week 3.

Jonathan Stewart (Running Back): Stewart was always not the best fantasy option do to his fragility, but even with the starting job Cam Newton will always vulture him for touchdowns. Stewart finished with 17 carries on 62 yards which is a little low. Stewart will have low tier RB2-RB3 value for the remainder of the season thanks to Cam Newton.

Greg Olsen (Tight End): Olsen managed to gain over 50 yards receiving hauling in 6 out of his 14 targets for 70 yards. Olsen will also be hindered by Newton's propensity to run the football near the goal line, this will lower his red zone targets along with his value.

Waiver Wire Target

Corey Brown (CAR) (Wide Receiver): Brown has been a reliable option for Cam Newton and could potentially continue to get a lot of targets. Brown left the week 2 contest catching 3 out of 4 targets for 57 yards and a touchdown.
