The Miami Dolphins have added Jonas Gray to their practice squad following the injury to Jay Ajayi and he could be a factor down the line behind starter Lamar Miller and backups Damien Williams and LaMichael James. The Dolphins have Jarvis Landry, Greg Jennings and Kenny Stills the main WR starters for Ryan Tannehill with DeVante Parker coming back from his foot injury.

The Dolphins are coming into the season with high expectations and they are looking to start the season with a victory against the Redskins. The team is hoping to be at full strength for the matchup, as players like Parker and Branden Albert could be ready to return in time for the game. According to NFL.com, Parker is making progress from his foot surgery and he could play in the game in a limited capacity.

Albert has also returned to practice and could play, but Miami will be cautious with the left tackle after knee injuries last season. Albert spoke with the South Florida Sun-Sentinel and he said that his knee has felt good this summer, but the most important thing is getting his "timing back" after missing most of the offseason program and training camp. Albert tore his ACL and MCL last season and he is looking to be on the field in Week 1 if he is healthy.

According to ESPN.com, Adam Schefter reports that Jonas Gray has signed for a place on the Dolphins practice squad after being waived by the New England Patriots. Schefter writes that Gray was once with the team on the practice squad and according to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald, the team did not say "when or if" Gray would be promoted. Gray was added after Ajayi cracked his rib in the preseason and was placed on short term injured reserve, keeping him out for half the season.

Gray comes in after averaging 4.6 yards per carry and gaining 412 yards for the Patriots with five touchdowns last season. Gray had a huge game against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 11 with 201 yards rushing and four touchdowns, but he quickly fell out of favor with Bill Belichick and played sparingly the rest of the season. Ajayi was taken in the fifth round of the draft and the Dolphins were hoping that he could come in and help back up Lamar Miller this season.

Ryan Tannehill is looking to continue developing after having his best career season and he has some solid weapons at wide receiver. Jarvis Landry is stepping into a bigger role after a strong rookie season, while Kenny Stills and Greg Jennings give the team some depth with the injury to Parker. Parker could be limited, but either way, the top three guys on the depth chart should play a lot in Week 1. Last season Landry had 84 catches for 758 yards and five touchdowns as a rookie. Jordan Cameron also could have a big season after signing with the team from the Browns.
