Terrelle Pryor simply picked the wrong time to get injured. The quarterback turned wide receiver is trying to make the final roster of the Cleveland Browns, but a hamstring injury originally deemed as minor is holding back his progress. With time running out for Pryor to avoid being an early roster, will the wide receiver make the right impression on a team in desperate need of playmakers?

According to ESPN's Pat McManamon, Pryor could find himself on the first round of roster cuts simply because he has not practiced since August 4. Pryor re-aggravated a hamstring injury and has since not been seen on the field. McManamon reports that right now he is iffy for the third preseason game and if he does not make it on the field then, time could be up for Pryor. Head coach Mike Pettine recognized that Pryor was following doctor's orders, but nothing is guaranteed for the player.

"He's on a protocol with the trainers," Pettine said, via ESPN. "I get up an update every day. When I'm told he can't go he can't go. I focus my concerns on the guys who are out there."

Both Dwayne Bowe and Josh McCown have remained positive about Pryor's transition to a new position. The quarterback called the injury unfortunate as many do not expect him to be on the final roster for the Browns.

"It's hard at this point for me and anybody to say (if he could help), just because we haven't seen him," McCown said, via ESPN.com. "It's just unfortunate. It's hard to be evaluated when you're not on the field. As the preseason progresses and decisions have to be made, the window of time gets shorter and shorter."

Injuries might be helping certain players make the final roster. According to the Cleveland Plain Dealer, Terrance West's future has been put into question more times than not this year. However, an injury to rookie Duke Johnson is keeping the second-year pro in the mix. The Browns have been toying with the idea of adding Ray Rice to the roster. Much of that could be determined by the health of Johnson who is dealing with various injuries. The Browns have big plans for Johnson and if the rookie cannot get on the field, things could take a turn in Cleveland.
