The Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers are playing live on the Week 2 NFL preseason schedule on Sunday night and the game at Levi's Stadium at 8 pm ET and the matchup has coverage from NFL.com as Tony Romo, Colin Kaepernick, Carlos Hyde, Gus Johnson and Dez Bryant get into action in Califonria.
The Cowboys come into the game after losing against the San Diego Chargers in the preseason and the team next plays against the Vikings and Texans at home after playing in San Fran. The Cowboys have camp in Cali and will come back soon and heading into the regular season the team has questions at the starting running back position. Joseph Randle will be the starter if healthy, but Randle, Darren McFadden and Lance Dunbar were all out last week in the preseason. All three backs are expected to at least get some time in the game on Sunday.
The Cowboys have Lache Seastrunk and Gus Johnson and there is a chance one of those players could be in the mix if the RBs are banged up. Romo likely will play a short stint in the preseason game, but he will not play much for the Cowboys, especially with the turf concerns of the team. The Cowboys open the season with the New York Giants at home in a primetime game and then the team has the Eagles on the road.
The Falcons are next on the schedule before the team plays the Saints and then the Cowboys have a tough schedule with the Patriots, Giants and Seahawks next. The Eagles come up after that for a primetime game for the Cowboys and then the team plays against the Buccaneers and Dolphins in Florida before a matchup with the Panthers. The team has three of the next four on the road with the Redskins, Packers and Bills away, while the Jets are the home game. The Cowboys then finish with the Bills and Redskins.
The 49ers come in after a loss against the Texans and the team has the Cowboys, Broncos and Chargers next on the schedule for the preseason. The team opens with the Minnesota Vikings at home and then the 49ers will play the Steelers and Cardinals on the road. The Niners have the Cardinals, Packers and Giants next and then comes the ravens, Seahawks and Rams, which is on the road. The 49ers have the Falcons, Seahawks, Cards and Bears next before playing the Browns, Bengals, Lions and Rams to finish the season.
