The Pittsburgh Steelers secondary will continue to suffer without one of their most important draft picks. Senquez Golson was drafted in the second round and was expected to help sure up this Steeler's secondary before the beginning of the season.

Instead Golson went on the PUP (Physically unable to perform) list at the beginning of training camp which not only set the Steelers back but also set back his own development. Now the Steelers might have to face the harsh reality that one of their top draft picks is gone for the season. Golson had surgery Friday morning to repair his injured shoulder.

Apparently the Steelers had for seen this issue before training camp even began. The Steelers wanted Golson to be around the team and form chemistry with the players and learn some of his playbook before he went under the knife. The regular season is only 3 weeks away which will put Golson's rehab time overlapping most of his rookie season.  Mike Tomlin stated

"Obviously, we will do what is appropriate after visiting with the surgeon and things post-op, I don't want to speculate until I visit with the doctors."
