Could Matt Flynn become a starter for the New York Jets?

Flynn is one of the most experienced veteran quarterbacks on the market and has a storied history in the NFL. Flynn spent most of his career with the Packers (2013-2014/2008-2011) and was one of the best backup quarterbacks in the NFL.

With the keys to a high powered offense such as the Packers it is no wonder he found success however he can bring some good attributes to the Jet's offense. Ryan Fitzpatrick has a 60.2 percent completion rate, 19,273 career yards, 123 touchdowns, and 101 interceptions. Fitzpatrick's career passer rating is a 79.5 which is quite impressive given all of the interceptions.

Fitzpatrick has had multiple attempts at being a franchises starting quarterback and the longest stint he has had has been with the Bills (2009-2011). Flynn on the other hand has had less time in the league and has been mentored by one of the greatest quarterbacks in the NFL, Aaron Rodgers.  Flynn has a 61.3 completion percentage, 2, 541 career yards, 17 touchdowns, 11 interceptions, and is resting at an 85.9 career passer rating.

Now his numbers are better because he hasn't had the same amount of time as a starting quarterback as Fitzpatrick but he must be one of the better options for a team like the Jets. If Fitzpatrick struggles early on what do the Jets have to lose by taking a chance on Flynn?
