Here are 5 Things to Know about the Giants heading into the 2015 season:

1. The New York offense has the potential to be one of the best in the NFL

The Giants have Eli Manning coming back after a rebound season and down the stretch of 2014 he was one of the best quarterbacks in football. The emergence of Odell Beckham gives the Giants a true number one receiver and with Victor Cruz coming back from a knee injury, Manning is hoping to have two of his best players healthy at the same time. Last season the two WRs only played 60 snaps together. The running game also should be improved, as the team signed Shane Vereen as a free agent, they are getting Rashad Jennings back healthy and Andre Williams comes on after getting experience last season as a rookie. If the team doesn't get hit with injuries at the skill positions, the Giants could have one of the best offenses in the league.

2. The safety position and the secondary have been ravaged by injuries this summer

Coming into the summer the Giants were already weak at the safety position and injuries to Nat Berhe, Landon Collins and Mykkele Thompson have made things even tougher. Collins, who was a second round draft pick and is likely to start for the Giants, was injured in the opening preseason game and he could be out until the regular season starts. Thompson is out for the season with an ACL injury and all a of this doesn't even mention the other injuries in the secondary. Prince Amukamara

3. Tom Coughlin's job may not be secure without a playoff appearance or winning season

Coughlin's job security has been under fire for nearly as long as he has been in New York, but a 6-win season in 2014 ratcheted up the speculation about the coach's future this past offseason. The Giants decided that Coughlin was still the right man for the job and the team opted to fire defensive coordinator Perry Fewell after last season, bringing in former Giants DC Steve Spagnuolo to take over. Coughlin like needs a winning season to stick around, but when it comes to the Giants, they have proven to be loyal to their head coach.

4. Eli Manning likely will get a contract extension before the start of the season

Manning and the Giants reportedly have talked about getting a contract extension done before the season starts and the pressure could be on after fellow 2004 draft picks Philip Rivers and Ben Roethlisberger got new deals this offseason. Rivers signed for over $80 million and Manning could get a deal in that range. Manning wants to stay in NY.

5. The offensive line may struggle for the second straight season and a rookie could be starting at tackle

The offensive line was the weakest unit on offense for the Giants last season and that greatly affected the running game for Eli Manning. Injuries and inconsistent play has put the offensive line under the microscope again and the injury to Will Beatty could force rookie Ereck Flowers to start for Big Blue. Geoff Schwartz staying healthy could be bit and the team has reportedly considered signing Jake Long.
