1. How will Ryan Fitzpatrick look?

Fitzpatrick is now the Jets only hope for any type of success until week 3-4. With Geno Smith out with a broken jaw it makes things incredibly hard for Todd Bowles because if Fitzpatrick is bad there is nowhere else to turn. Bryce Petty is still a year or two away from even challenging for the starting role. For better or worse it's the Ryan Fitzpatrick show for the Jets now.

2. Will the Jets defense be dominant?

Leonard Williams is supposed to be the next big Jets defender, and was the most dominant defender in the 2015 NFL draft. His progress and growth will be the main factor in if the Jets can generate pressure. He will also be filling in for the suspended Sheldon Richardson so Leonard Williams has to produce.

3. Will Ameer Abdullah take over as the starter/prove he is an every down back?

Ameer Abdullah has been the most impressive player in Lions camp except for Calvin Johnson (of course). So it will be interesting to see if the Lions trust him enough as an every down back. Abdullah has been struggling in pass protection recently but is solid enough for the Lions not to pull him for the often injured Joique Bell. Bell is still on the PUP list so it Abdullah will likely have a bigger role in preseason games however he could prove more valuable offensively than Bell.

4. How will the Lions defense look without Suh?

The Lion's defense still has a ton of playmakers but they are missing their biggest one. Suh was the leader of that Lion's defense and now it will be up to a committee of linemen to replace that production. Defensive ends Darryl Tapp and Ziggy Ansah will lead the charge off the edge while Tyrunn Walker and Haloti Ngata will try to bring pressure from the inside. Expect more linebacker blitzes from the Lions as some of their best defensive playmakers are linebackers.

5. Will Eric Ebron finally start making plays?

Ebron has had a tough camp so far. Throughout the last two weeks though he has shown promise, improving his chemistry with Matt Stafford, now the Lions need him to be the playmaker he was drafted to be. Ebron is a huge target at 6'4, 265 pounds so he needs to become more of a threat to defenses. How he plays in preseason will certainly foreshadow his production during the regular season.
