Beyonce Super Bowl Halftime Show XLVII: Singer Locked In for the Big Game

Oct 17, 2012 10:40 AM EDT

I don't think you're ready for all this jelly or the news that Beyonce will be performing at the halftime show of Super Bowl XLVII on February 3 in New Orleans.

So ladies, get ready to once again sing along to one of  you favorite divas. Gentleman, it will be a good time to make a food or beer run if you're running short as you will not have to sit around watching girls put their hands up when Beyonce breaks out into "Single Ladies."

Beyonce is the next performer in line following Madonna who had the spotlight at halftime of Super Bowl XLVI.

Whatever Beyonce does, it should be better than the Black Eyed Peas, which apparently nobody liked.

The NFL and Super Bowl organizers have been serious about keeping halftime shows PG following the Justin Timberlake and Janet Jackson wardrobe malfunction back in 2004 in Super Bowl XXXVIII.

The year following the "wardrobe malfunction" they made sure to keep it as clean as possible and asked Paul McCartney to perform at halftime for Super Bowl XXXIX and then The Rolling Stones followed with their Super Bowl XL performance.

Beyonce will join a list of other performers and legends like Prince, The Who, Bruce Springsteen, Diana Ross, Tony Bennett and Michael Jackson.
