The St. Louis Rams have locked down Nick Foles for the next two years with a modest contract extension.

This was not a surprising move for the Rams however the team has yet to see what Foles can do using their offense in an actual game.  Foles landed on the Rams after being traded by the Philadelphia Eagles along with a 2015 fourth round pick and a 2016 second round pick for Sam Bradford and a 2015 fifth round pick.

Foles is only 26 and had a superb 2013 season for the Eagles only throwing 2 interceptions in 13 games. Last season however Foles threw ten interceptions in eight games. Foles uncharacteristically bad year can easily be the reason the Eagles decided to go in a different direction. Foles was selected in the third round of the 2012 draft and has been a pretty effective starter in Philadelphia. Jeff Fisher stated

"I think what Nick has done early in his career; he's proven that he can get the job done on the field,"

Foles seems excited about the prospect of playing with the Rams stating, "This is where I want to play, as a player, you want to be somewhere and you want to play there the rest of your career."
