Jul 31, 2015 01:15 PM EDT

The prize of Cowboys offseason has suffered a minor setback on his first day of camp. Hardy was seen on one knee wincing in pain in the middle of the field. Hardy has stated that he will not be talking to the media until the regular season begins however he recognized the concern that fell over the Cowboy's faithful and addressed the crowd by saying

"I don't get hurt, I'm invincible".

COO Stephen Jones believes the injury to be tweaked cartilage in the left side of his ribs; however it is not being viewed as anything serious. The injury was later declared as a minor rib strain. Head coach Jason Garrett had this to say about Hardy,

"To be honest with you, with Greg right from the start, he was actually going too hard, "He was going too hard in the weight room and too hard on the field early on in the offseason. So he's a guy that is really committed to being the best that he can be. And I think he wants to be a part of something special. And I think he wants to come to work every day and show his teammates what he's all about in terms of his work ethic and what he can bring to our football team. I think he's shown us that right from the start, and he's someone that we really believe in that can be a real contributing factor for our football team."

With a four game suspension to start the season even if this injury carried into the season Hardy would have time to recuperate.
