NFL News: How Many More Players Will be Suspended By the League? Jabari Price, Derek Wolfe Recent Suspensions

Second year cornerback Jabari Price has been suspended for two games after pleading guilty to driving carelessly. He was only sentenced to 30 days of electronic home monitoring and a $300 dollar fine however the NFL is very meticulous about the conduct of their players especially around the playoffs.

As a seventh round pick Price is not likely to sink the Vikings ship by not being on the field however he did offer this statement, "I sincerely apologize to my family, my teammates, the Vikings organization and Vikings fans for the mistake I made last winter, I can assure you that it will never happen again. I look forward to returning to helping my team on the field in Week 3." Price went through the NFLPA to release the statement and is still eligible to practice with the team and play in preseason games. His suspension will start week 1 of the regular season and it is also without pay.

Bronco's defensive end Derek Wolfe has been handed a four game suspension for testing positive for PEDs.

Wolfe stated that "During the offseason I took a medication which is on the banned substance list," Wolfe said in the statement released by the team. "The medication is not a substance which would enhance my on-field performance in any way and I genuinely was unaware that it was prohibited, but players are responsible for what is in their bodies. I will certainly exercise far greater caution in the future and will seek advice relating to the permissibility of any and all medications." This could be potentially devastating for the Bronco's defense as Wolfe is the second highest graded defensive end in the 4-3 scheme in the NFL. Now that defensive line will have to stop the run without the help of one of their key pieces on the field.
