The MLB schedule is heading into the All-Star break and the AL-NL division leaders leading into Wednesday's games include the NY Yankees, Kansas City Royals, Los Angeles Angels, Washington Nationals, St. Louis Cardinals and Los Angeles Dodgers, while the American League and National League wild card chases are very close.

The Yankees have been able to stay ahead in the American League East this season and they just took two of three games against the Mariners to come out of the All-Star break. The Yankees have a four game lead over the Orioles and they are in ahead of the Rays, Blue Jays and Boston Red Sox. The Red Sox have been off to a disappointing start, but they are hanging around in the wild card and are eight games back in the division.

The Royals have been one of the best teams in baseball and they are leading the AL Central by six games. The team has 55 wins and the most in the AL and they are leading the Twins, Tigers, Indians and White Sox. The Los Angeles Angels have pushed past the Houston Astros in the AL West after the Astros led the division for most of the season. The Rangers are third ahead of the Seattle Mariners and Oakland Athletics.

The National League East has the Washington Nationals two games up on the New York Mets, while the Braves, Marlins and Phillies are next in the standings. The St. Louis Cardinals are the best team in baseball with 58 wins and they are leading the Pittsburgh Pirates by four games. The Cubs are in the mix in the NL Wild Card and they are ahead of the Reds and Brewers, who are both way out of things.

The NL West has the Los Angeles Dodgers in first place ahead of the San Francisco Giants, while the Padres, Arizona Diamondbacks and Colorado Rockies are all out of the race. The American League Wild Card has the Minnesota Twins and Houston Astros in the lead and they are ahead of the Orioles, Rays, Blue Jays, Tigers and Indians. The National League has the Pirates and the Chicago Cubs in the lead with the Giants, Mets and Padres next in the standings.
