The San Francisco 49ers are coming into the season amidst a number of major changes and moving forward the team could consider a Colin Kaepernick trade if he has a down 2015 season and this comes as Reggie Bush and Carlos Hyde will compete to start in training camp, while Alex Boone has reported to mandatory minicamp for the team.

Earlier in the week John Clayton at ESPN analyzed what has been going with the 49ers and the NFL Insider reported that the team could consider a Kaepernick trade in the future. The team has a ton of money invested in Kaepernick, but his contract allows the team to make a move at the end of each season without major cap ramifications and that could lead to a trade if the team falters this year.

The 49ers have made numerous changes, with players like Frank Gore and Patrick Willis gone, while Jim Harbaugh is now at Michigan. The Niners have lost a number of key starters and things could take a turn if they do not perform well this season.

The San Francisco 49ers have Alex Boone reporting to mandatory minicamp after he held out of the offseason program and things start on Tuesday for the Niners as they push towards training camp. Boone reporting is big after Anthony Davis announced his retirement this comes as rookie Mike Davis will be competing to get playing time behind Reggie Bush and Carlos Hyde at running back.

Boone has not been with the team for OTA workouts and CSN Bay Area reports that the offensive lineman will be in attendance for minicamp. Reports from earlier in the offseason had Boone seeking to be traded, but now it appears he is ready to report for team activities. Boone is coming into the final year of his contract and he is a key player on the offensive line, especially with Davis announcing his retirement this past week.

This is the second straight year that Boone has skipped out on voluntary workouts and now he likely will take over at right guard where Erik Pears has been lining up. The 49ers are already down Mike Iupati after he left in free agency and now seventh rounder Trent Brown should get a look for the team. Coming into training camp Carlos Hyde and Reggie Bush are the top running backs and Mike Davis will be battling to get carries as a rookie with Kendall Hunter also on the roster.

Davis comes in after having a solid career at South Carolina and he was described as a sleeper pick coming out of the draft by Todd McShay. The coaching staff liked what Davis did with a 5.7 yards per carry in college and he also had 70 catches while playing for the Gamecocks in three seasons. Davis had 22 touchdowns during his career in college and he rushed for over 2400 yards in three seasons, including 1183 in 2013.

The 49ers let Frank Gore go in the offseason and he signed with the Colts, leaving Hyde to take over as the main feature back. Bush was signed to a deal after his release by the Detroit Lions and Davis was added in the draft by Trent Baalke. Bush likely will split time with Hyde while Davis gets acclimated to the NFL along with Kendall Hunter on the depth chart.
