The New York Mets were a victim of a no hitter on Tuesday night as San Francisco Giants rookie Chris Heston quieted the Mets' bats for a 5-0 win. Prior to that, New York had totaled 21 hits in their previous two games and now need to bounce back find that swing once again. Matt Harvey takes the mound looking to get the Mets moving again as they face off against the Giants on Wednesday night.

Harvey did not end May on a solid note. He lost all three decisions over his final five starts of the month while giving up 11 runs in 12 innings in his final two. He is currently 6-3 with a 3.05 ERA on the season. He did manage to bounce back in his last start, striking out nine in a 6-2 win while recording a home run himself. That should be the type the momentum that can give Harvey another quality start against the Giants as the Mets aim to avoid another poor performance.

New York might be leading the National League East at the moment, but their no-hitter was not a shock. The team currently ranks 25th out of 30 teams in runs as David Wright, Daniel Murphy and Travis d'Arnaud struggle with injuries. They did get the 21 hits in their previous two games, but the runs are few and far between. Lucas Duda might have the best chance at helping the Mets against the Giants as he is 12 for 30 with a home run against pitcher Tim Hudson who will take the mound for San Francisco.

Hudson is 3-5 with a 4.41 ERA on the season while seeking his third solid start for San Francisco. After one of the worst outings of his career where he gave up eight runs in three innings, Hudson bounced back in fine fashion going 1-1 with a 1.93 ERA in two starts. In his recent outing, he gave up just two runs over seven innings. However, the Giants are doing very little to help his win column as they average just 2.21 runs per game when Hudson is on the mound. He has gotten four runs in his last four starts.  He is 2-0 with a 3.09 ERA against the Mets in his last five career starts.
