The Portland Trail Blazers and Memphis Grizzlies are matching up on the NBA playoffs schedule and Game 2 of their playoff series in the first round is from FedEx Forum as the Grizz try and take a 2-0 lead before Game 3 and Game 4 later in the week and the matchup is on TNT on TV and streaming online from TNT Overtime with Marc Gasol and LaMarcus Aldridge battling.
The Grizzlies were one of the best teams in the west this season and they won the first game 100-86 and now they have the chance to get things going again in Game 2. The Grizzlies have Gasol, Zach Randolph and Mike Conley and they will try and shut down the main duo of LaMarcus Aldridge and Damian Lillard for the Blazers.
The Grizzlies were one of the top defensive teams in the league this season and they will try and lock things down again in the game against the Blazers. The Grizzlies basically shut the team down, as they won by 14 and scored only 14 in the final frame, allowing 24 points but the Blazers still could not get things close. The team outscored the Blazers 25-15 in the first quarter and that was a big way to start and they only allowed the Blazers to outscore them in the fourth.
The Grizzlies got a strong game from Marc Gasol and he had 11 rebounds, while Beno Udrih also played well and had 20 points to go along with seven assists. The Blazers got 32 points and 14 rebounds from LaMarcus Aldridge, but they need more from the bench to get a win on Wednesday night. Gasol led the team with 17 points per game and he is the key for Memphis, as he is the top defensive player in the series.
Conley is dealing with a foot sprain, but he said that it will not keep him out of the game. Conley had 16 points in the game on Sunday and now the team is up 1-0 and looking to take both games at home. The Grizzlies were one of the best home teams in the league this season and they will try and show why again in Game 2. Conley had a strong season and ended up averaging 15 points and five assists and he has been a playmaker for Memphis all year.
The Blazers need Arron Afflalo back and that will be big for the team if he can suit up for tis game after being injured. Aldridge and Lillard need to get things going and if that happens, they can win in Memphis.
