Boston Red Sox vs. NY Yankees Live Stream: Watch Online Streaming MLB Game

The Boston Red Sox and NY Yankees are playing live on the AL East MLB schedule on Friday night from the Bronx at Yankee Stadium and the game starts at 7:05 pm ET as the division rivals open up a series and the matchup has Nathan Eovaldi against Wade Miley on the mound.

The Yankees come in after losing to the Blue Jays and they dropped two of three of that series, while the Red Sox opened up with wins against the Phillies. The Red Sox are 2-1 this season and they come in with Miley on the mound and after new acquisition Hanley Ramirez started the season with a bang. The pitching matchups include Clay Buchholz and Masahiro Tanaka on Sunday and the two teams will next play again at the beginning of May.

The Yankees added Eovaldi in a deal this offseason and he is a hard throwing player and someone the Yankees need to step up. The team has CC Sabathia trying to stay healthy along with Tanaka and Michael Pineda and that puts pressure on Eovaldi to be effective. Miley has pitched once against the Yankees in 2013 and now he will make his Red Sox debut against the team.

Eovaldi led the NL in hits allowed last season, but he throws hard and the Yankees really just want him to be an innings eater. The team should have a stacked bullpen this season with Andrew Miller and Dellin Betances, but they can't get overused. A-Rod hit his first home run for the Yankees on Thursday against the Jays and he will be looking to continue his solid start this season.

The Red Sox have a number of new players, including Ramirez as well as Pablo Sandoval and rick Porcello, who just inked an extension with the team. The Yankees finished 12 games out of first place in the division last season and the Red Sox were even farther back and now both teams want to get off to a good start. The two teams missed the postseason and now they both are looking to get back.

A-Rod hit his first home run since 2013 and Carlos Beltran comes in with some good numbers against the Red Sox, including five home runs in his last 14 games, per MLB.com. The Yankees lineup is very different from last year and they have had some offensive issues and will be looking to break out. The team comes in having won six of the last eight in this series and last year the Yankees had the Red Sox number, as they only lost seven of the 19 games the teams played last season.
