Apr 08, 2015 07:46 PM EDT

The Cleveland Cavaliers and Milwaukee Bucks are playing live on the NBA schedule on Wednesday night and the matchup from the BMO Harris Bradley Center starts at 8 pm ET and it is the second to last game for LeBron James, Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving as they head to the playoffs and try and push towards a championship.

The Cavs are in first place in the central division and with the Bulls playing well at the end, things are still undecided. The Cavs can clinch the division title with a win against the Bucks and that would lock them in at number two in the east this season. The Cavaliers got off to a slow start earlier in the year, but they have put things together and now the team is looking like one of the best in the league.

The Cavaliers have only lost seven of the last 38 games and they have been killing it since mid-January. The team took control of the division and has not looked back and they have been one of the best offensive teams in the league during that time. The Cavs have been the best team in the NBA since January 15 and that was when this streak started. The team has also played very well on the road, putting up the second best record in that span in the league.

The team has played well against west opponents, but they have been even better against the East and now the Bucks will have to find a way to pull it out. Milwaukee should feel good about this season, as they are sixth in the east and will be in the playoffs. The team had won four of the last six games before losing to Orlando on Saturday and now they will try and stop that from becoming a streak.

LeBron is leading the Cavs in scoring and he has once again played at an MVP level, even if he won't end up winning the award. The team has gone 5-2 on the road over their last seven games in in that time the team has been averaging over 110 points. The Cavaliers are fourth in the league in scoring and sixth in points allowed per game since their long stretch going back to January and that should give them confidence coming into the playoffs.

The Cavaliers could not catch the Hawks for the top spot, but they are in at number two and now many are expecting those teams to be there at the end. James said that the Cavaliers have started to play better overall as a unit and that cohesion should help once it hits the postseason.
