Apr 04, 2015 12:14 PM EDT

The Chelsea Blues and Stoke City are playing on the English Premier League schedule on Saturday and the game from Stamford Bridge starts at 12:30 pm ET and will be on the NBCSN Live Extra website and on NBC as Jose Mourinho leads his team at the top of the EPL table against Stoke.

Chelsea could be without Diego Costa as he deals with a hamstring injury and that will be a big loss, but Chelsea is deep and can make up for it. Loic Remy scored the game winning goal against Hull and the team is looking to keep things going as they push into the final part of the season. The Blues have been in this position before and Mourinho does not want to falter this time.

Chelsea is unbeaten at home but they have been teetering of late, as they have drawn the last three across all competitions. The team won against Everton at home in the past and they have a good history against Stoke, having won all of the matchups at home in Premier League play. Stoke has not scored in six of the last seven at Chelsea and now they have the chance to put a dent in the team with a strong performance.

Chelsea has been at the top of the league table all season and they have played very well at home and even with Costa out, the Blues should be safe in this matchup. Cesc Fabregas has been a playmaker and the team will need him to keep stepping up this season. Stoke is a better point now than they were last year and they are eight points ahead of that pace and want to keep things going.

Chelsea comes into the game after a win against Hull City and that came after a draw at home against Southampton. The team comes back to Stamford Bridge and they have QPR coming up before hosting Manchester United in a big match. The team also has Arsenal coming up on the schedule and those games will be crucial if any of those teams want to make a run to the top of the table.

The back end of the schedule has some tough games for Chelsea, but they have the chance to keep pace at the top of the league table with QPR and Leicester City as away matches left. The team has to go to the Emirates to play Arsenal and they also have West Brom on the road, but they are home for Manchester United and they also will have Liverpool at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea also has games against Crystal Palace and against Sunderland.
