The Philadelphia Eagles brought in Tim Tebow for a workout and Chip Kelly could sign the free agent quarterback if he pulls a trade for Matt Barkley and this comes as the team has been mentioned in connection to Marcus Mariota in the draft and after the Eagles traded starter Nick Foles to the Rams for Sam Bradford.

Chip Kelly has had a wild offseason and things have not slowed down, with Pro Football Talk reporting that the Eagles are shopping Barkley. The report says that the Eagles would be willing to take a late round draft pick for Barkley and that they would look at signing Tebow if they move the third string quarterback. Tebow was brought in for a workout last week and ESPN.com reported that he "looked good" throwing the ball and his coach Tom House added that he has improved overall as a passer.

Tebow has not had any major attention since getting let go by the Patriots when he was brought into training camp following his release from the Jets. NBC Washington's Dianna Marie Russini confirmed the news that Barkley is being shopped and Pro Football Talk reports that the Eagles want to sign Tebow if he is traded. Chip Kelly has been connected to Marcus Mariota all offseason, but if he pulls off this move, it's likely that doesn't happen.

Kelly was given full control over the team roster this offseason and he already is wielding that power, cutting veteran players and trading a fan favorite in LeSean McCoy. Foles had been solid while playing under Kelly, winning 14 games in two years, but he missed half of last season with a shoulder injury. Kelly's interest in trying to get Mariota is well-documented and according to NJ.com, the team could look at moving up to get him.

The Tebow news was a wild card for everyone, as no one expected Kelly to bring him in for a workout. The Eagles now may look at signing him if they can get a taker for Barkley, who did not play much last season and is not expected to compete for the starting job in Philly. The team added Sam Bradford to take over for Nick Foles and it's unlikely that Kelly will try and flip him again after the draft compensation he gave up to get Bradford.

The Philadelphia Eagles have made some big trades with LeSean McCoy and Foles this offseason and Chip Kelly could consider another deal with Bradford, according to some coaches who think that he could try and move up for Mariota. While he has denied that as an option, many have speculated that he could make a move to take Marcus Mariota in the draft.

Kelly has a distinct offensive scheme and while McCoy is one of the best players in football, he also had a high cap number. McCoy was set to be a near $12 million hit on the salary cap and his trade and the moves with veterans gave the team enough money to sign Murray. Jeremy Maclin was allowed to leave as a free agent this offseason and he signed with the Kansas City Chiefs.
