The Maryland Terrapins and Valparaiso Crusaders are playing live on the NCAA tournament schedule on Friday and the game is on TV from TNT and the matchup is streaming online from the March Madness website and it will be starting at 4:40 pm ET and will be at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio as the number 13 seed takes on the number four seed.
Maryland comes in after losing to Michigan State in the Big 10 tournament and now they come in against Valpal. Maryland went 27-6 this season and they were 14-4 in the conference and they ended up as a number four seed. The Midwest bracket has Kentucky and that means teams will have to deal with the heavily favored Wildcats if they advance here.
Maryland averages 69 points per game and they won eight games in a row to end the season before losing to Michigan. The team hasn't lost apart from the tournament game since back in February and they have momentum coming in and want to keep it going into the next round. There have been some upsets in the tournament so far and that means Maryland can't underestimate Valparaiso. Iowa State lost to UAB in a 14-3 game, while Georgia State also won in an upset.
Valparaiso comes in from the Horizon league and they went 13-3 and won over Green Bay in their last game. The team was 28-5 on the season and they have experience in the tournament. The team won 10 of 11 games down the end of the season and now they have Maryland.
