The English Premier League Table has Chelsea leading the EPL standings heading into the week and they are over Man City, Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool, Southampton and Tottenham as the Barclays mid-week schedule picks up and this comes after the Blues won the League Cup in the Capital One Cup final over Tottenham over the weekend.

Chelsea has been leading the Premier League all season and they have a five point advantage heading into the week. The Blues were off this weekend and Man City did not take advantage, losing to Liverpool. The Reds have played very well over the 2015 schedule and they have played themselves back into contention for the Champions League after a very slow start. The team has been very disappointing compared to last season, but now they have the chance to make up for that with a strong run here.

Chelsea comes in with a clear lead over Arsenal and they basically have to hold off Manchester City and they should win the EPL. The top four has Chelsea on top of Manchester City, Arsenal and Man United, with Liverpool just a couple points back. Man City comes in with 16 wins and 55 points this season and they are four points clear of Arsenal. The Gunners are one point up over Man United and that makes the mid-week matches so important this week. Man United is playing well and they had a tough start to the season and have pulled it together and they are trying to hold off a group of teams in the top four.

Tottenham is in seventh behind Southampton by a few points, while Swansea City and West Ham are next in the standings. Newcastle and Crystal Palace are next ahead of West Brom and Everton, while Hull City is down at number 15 on the table. Sunderland and QPR are next, while Burnley, Aston Villa and Leicester City are in relation standing.

The schedule has Man City taking on Leicester on Wednesday and that is a chance for points, while Chelsea travels to play West Ham. Stoke City and Everton are playing, while Arsenal visits QPR and Liverpool hosts Burnley. The Spurs are hosting Swansea City, while Newcastle and Man United also matchup. Chelsea comes in after a draw against Burnley at home and that was a disappointing result, while the team won before that over Everton.

Coming up on the schedule the team hosts Man United and that will be a huge match at Stamford Bridge. Jose Mourinho is looking to win more after taking his first trophy since coming back to Chelsea and the last time the team won the League Cup, they also came through and finished on top of the EPL table. Man United is determined to stay in the top four and they could be a team to watch over the next weeks as the schedule pushes on. Chelsea also has the Champions League round of 16 return match against PSG at Stamford Bridge coming up.
