The San Antonio Spurs and LA Clippers are playing live on the TNT NBA schedule as things pick up after the All-Star break and the game in Los Angeles is from the STAPLES center and starts up past 10:30 pm ET as Tim Duncan and Chris Paul matchup in a western conference game.

The Spurs come into the game after a win before the break against the Pistons and they will have a big matchup with the Warriors on the road on Friday. The team has the Clippers now and they come into things right there in the standings with the Clips overall. The Spurs are 34-19 on the season and they are fourth in the southwest division and close to the Rockets as they try and push ahead in the second half.

The Spurs usually make a move in the second half and this is the chance for the team to do it. The team comes in ranked in the top half of the league in scoring and they are 12th in rebounds per game. The Spurs are third in points allowed and sixth in assists per game and they are looking to get things going to start the schedule after the All-Star break. Kawhi Leonard is leading the team in scoring and he is a key player for the Spurs moving forward.

The Clippers come into the game after a win against the Rockets before the break and now they have the Spurs before a matchup with the Kings. The team is second in the Pacific division and they have 35 wins on the season. The team is ranked second in the league in scoring and they are third in assists per game. The Clippers are dealing with an injury to Blake Griffin and they are ranked 24th in rebounds per game.

The Clippers come in after getting a great performance from DeAndre Jordan against the Rockets, with him putting up 24 points and 20 rebounds. The team needs him to keep stepping up with Griffin out and Paul came in with 12 assists. The team is looking to make a push into the top part of the west and they have the Warriors up in the standings in the division. The Spurs and the Clippers are two of the favorites in the west and while the conference is tough, right now there is not a clear cut team that has proven they can go all the way.
