The South Carolina Gamecocks and Kentucky Wildcats are playing on the SEC college basketball schedule on Saturday and the game from Rupp Arena starts at 2 pm ET on ESPN and streaming from the WatchESPN website as the Wildcats and John Calipari try and stay undefeated this year.
The Wildcats come into the game after a close win on the road against LSU and they will next play against Tennessee on the road. The Wildcats come in at number one in the nation and they are 24-0 on the season and 11-0 in the conference. Kentucky has the chance to go through this season undefeated and everyone feels they are the favorites to make it through the NCAA tournament.
Willie Cauley-Stein led the team in scoring against LSU and the team comes in averaging 73 points per game this season. The team is ranked in the top 30 in rebounds per game on offense and they are second overall in points allowed on defense. The team is allowing just 52 points per game this season and they are also second in blocks per game. The defense is one of the main reasons why the team has the chance to make a run to the Final Four.
Kentucky has just one game against a ranked team for the rest of the season with Arkansas coming up and around that they also have Georgia before finishing the season against Florida. The team also has games against Auburn, Mississippi State and South Carolina to finish off the season. Aaron Harrison is leading the team in scoring and he has been impressive this year after the way he played last season.
