The Washington Wizards and Toronto Raptors have been two of the most surprising teams in the eastern conference this NBA season and now they face off on the schedule ahead of the All-Star break and the matchup from the Air Canada Centre is north of the border as Kyle Lowry and John Wall face off at 7:30 pm ET.

Wall and Lowry have been very impressive at the point guard position and that is why their teams are near the top of the eastern conference. The Raptors have been leading the Atlantic division all season, while the Wizards have been ion the mix behind the super surprising Atlanta Hawks. The Wizards come into the game at second in the southeast division and they are 33-20 on the season and are trailing the Hawks by a nice amount.

The team won over the Orlando Magic at home last and now they come into the matchup with the Raptors looking to keep things going into the break. Coming out of the break the Wizards play against the Cavaliers and that will be at home next week. The Wiz come in ranked in the top 10 in scoring defense this season and they are averaging 99 points per game on offense. The rebounding and assists have been impressive, as the team also ranks in the top 10 in the league.

Wall is leading the team in scoring and he has blossomed into one of the best young point guards in the league. Lowry has been the same and he comes in as the leader of the new look Raptors. He led the way with seven assists in a nice win at home against the San Antonio Spurs and he is averaging 18 points per game, the best on the Raptors. Lowry signed in the offseason and the Raptors have turned out to be one of the best teams in the east this year.

The Raptors will next play against the Atlanta Hawks after the All-Star break and that is a top matchup in the east. The Raptors come in after a win against the Spurs and they are ranked fifth in the NBA in scoring this season and 22nd in defense. Lowry has been playing at a high level once again and this could be a preview of the NBA playoffs depending on how things shake out. The Raptors took the game last time the two teams played and Lowry had a triple double with 13 points, 10 assists and 11 rebounds.
