The Seattle Seahawks are coming off of a very tough Super Bowl loss to the Patriots and heading into 2015 the team has some free agents to look at, as Byron Maxwell, Jermaine Kearse, Malcolm Smith and Taravis Jackson are hitting the market and this comes as Richard Sherman may need surgery, while Earl Thomas could also be going under the knife.

Richard Sherman, Earl Thomas and Jeremy Lane were all injured in the Super Bowl and reports came out after the game that Sherman may need Tommy John surgery. According to ESPN.com, head coach Pete Carroll said that Sherman might be able to avoid the surgery depending on the next set of tests he will get on his elbow. Thomas is going to consider his option as well, while Lane will need to be out for a while after breaking his wrist on an interception early in the game.

The team has some significant free agents hitting the market, but nothing major like a Sherman or Russell Wilson. Jermaine Kearse, Byron Maxwell and Malcolm Smith are the main players hitting the market, while O'Brien Schofield, Kevin Williams, Anthony McCoy, Taravis Jackson and Tony Moeaki are also free agents.

Carroll said: "He's not a pitcher, and he's not a left-hander. Sherm might not have to have that kind of surgery," he said. "If he was a thrower he would."
