Super Bowl 2015 Score Results: New England Patriots Win Over Seattle Seahawks 28-24 For SB XLIX, Tom Brady MVP After Fight Ends Game

The New England Patriots won the Super Bowl over the Seattle Seahawks 28-24 on Sunday night and Tom Brady was named MVP of SB XLIX after a wild finish that included an improbable catch, a curious play call, a game clinching interception and a fight that resulted in Bruce Irvin getting thrown out for the Hawks.

The Patriots and head coach Bill Belichick won the Super Bowl 2015 over the Seahawks after a wild finish to the game that included an amazing catch, an interception and a fight and now it will go down as one of the best ever. The Patriots won and now the play call at the end of the fourth quarter will be looked at after the interception that ended the game. The Patriots won after a hard fought game and now Brady and Belichick have four Super Bowls between them.

The second half saw the game stay close with the Patriots scoring another touchdown and getting it to 24-21 with about seven minutes left in the final quarter. The team was able to hold the Seahawks and get the ball back with another chance to get the lead. Rob Gronkowski made plays down the stretch in the fourth quarter and helped the Patriots keep things going, getting down into the redzone. The Patriots scored with Julian Edelman to take the lead and that gave them a 28-24 advantage with just two minutes left.

Pete Carroll made a strong decision at the end of the second half to go for a TD with six seconds left instead of a field goal and it ended up paying off. Russell Wilson was able to connect with Chris Matthews
Logan Ryan was on Chris Matthews for that touchdown and that helped spark the team at the end of the second half. All 28 points came in the second quarter after a scoreless first and that tied the game heading into the locker room.

The Patriots struck first with a touchdown from Tom Brady to Brandon LaFell and after that, the Seahawks tied things with a Marshawn Lynch rushing touchdown. Matthews scored the touchdown at the end of the first half and that came after his big play earlier in the game to set up Lynch's TD and that was his first catch of the season. The matchup with KJ Wright on Rob Gronkowski was a total mismatch and Brady was able to identify that to get the touchdown.

The first half of the game saw Brady throw one pick and two touchdowns with 177 yards while competing 20 passes, the most in any first half for a Super Bowl. Marshawn Lynch rushed for 45 yards in the first half, scoring a touchdown to tie the game at 7-7. The Patriots held the Seahawks in check for most of the first half, but the team was able to tie things up at the end. The Seahawks came into the playoffs with the best defense in the league
