If you want to follow American wrestler Jordan Burroughs on Twitter, his handle is @AllISeeIsGold.

Friday, the New Jersey native and University of Nebraska alum lived up to his billing.

Burroughs, who won gold at the World Championships last year, added an Olympic gold to his résumé on Friday, defeating Iran's Sadegh Saeed Goudarzi in the gold medal bout in the 74-kilogram freestyle wrestling tournament at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. Burroughs, who plans to transition into mixed martial arts in 2017 (when he plans on concluding his wrestling career), was dominant in capturing the gold.

After a tense feeling-out period early on, Burroughs struck with a double-leg takedown, earning the lone point of the opening frame. Burroughs was able to protect that lead through most of the second period, and sealed the victory with a second double-leg, scoring a second point with just 10 seconds left.

Earlier in the day, Dzhamal Otarsultanov of Russia captured gold in the 55-kilogram division when he defeated Vladimer Khinchegashvili of Georgia. After a relatively uneventful first period between the two grapplers - Otarsultanov scored the only point with a takedown from the clinch sequence - things picked up in the second period. Otarsultanov scored a takedown before Khinchegashvili responded in kind, and one exchange required multiple reviews before the Georgian was given a 3-2 lead. Oltarsultanov evened things up with a takedown, and Khinchegashvili desperately  looked to score one of his own as time expired. He appeared to come close, but a challenge and review did not yield any scoring, which left Otarsultanov ahead and allowed him to clinch gold.
