-----Welcome to the Live Blog of Korea vs. Japan in the Bronze medal Match-------

The Men's Soccer Bronze Medal Match will soon be taking place as South Korea and Japan will hit the field soon. Both countries were eliminated from silver and gold contentions in the semifinals and one will have the chance to win the third place medal as the action takes off at 2:45 p.m. ET/7:45 GMT from Millennium Stadium.

S. Korea lost their match against the powerful Brazil. They were shutout 3-0 as they could not put together any type of offensive attack against the Brazilians. They only one shot on goal despite taking 10 shots in the match and controlling the ball for over half of the match. 

Japan suffered the same fate against the Mexicans, but they at least managed to win score a goal against them. 

Japan started out in the lead in their Tuesday match. Yuki Otsu scored a goal in the 12th minute of action to give the Japanese the early advantage. 

What ensued following this goal devastated the Japanese as Mexico scored three consecutive goals to take the match 3-1 and advance into the finals.
