Aaron Hernandez is escorted into the courtroom of the Attleboro District Court for his hearing on August 22, 2013 in North Attleboro, Massachusetts. Former New England Patriot Aaron Hernandez has been indicted on a first-degree murder charge for the death of Odin Lloyd."

The Aaron Hernandez murder trial in the death of Odin Lloyd starts on Thursday after a delay from the blizzard in the northeast and now opening statements will be coming from the two sides and local news has live stream coverage of the courtroom as the former New England Patriots star goes to trial.

The opening statements come just days before his former team plays in the Super Bowl in Arizona. The jury will hear opening statements in the case and this will start the murder trial for the death of Odin Lloyd, an associate of Hernandez's that was dating the sister of his fiancé at the time of his death. Lloyd was found shot to death near Hernandez's home. Hernandez and his side likely will argue that he did not pull the trigger, that is was one of two accomplices that commutated the crime and not the former NFL player.

Former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez is back in court and this comes after he dealt with numerous a pretrial hearings regarding his murder case. Hernandez was previously arraigned in superior court and various motions in the case were ruled on while another one was filed regarding the judge recusing herself from the case.

The Aaron Hernandez case was back in court in October for a pretrial hearing, as the prosecution asked the judge in the case to recuse herself and now that will be picked up later in the month at another hearing. According to ESPN.com, the prosecution in the case previously filed the motion asking Judge Susan Garsh to recuse herself from the murder case involving Hernandez, as Bristol County Assistant District Attorney William McCauley said that he and Garsh previously worked on a separate case and that she showed bias and also has a "history of antagonism" with him.

The report says that McCauley had previously argued a case in court before Garsh and that the two have a "publicly documented history of antagonism" and now they would like her to take herself off the case. This is old news and did not end up happening and now the trial is starting up.

While McCauley won the case that he argued in front of her, he had mentioned publically how he felt about her actions in the case, saying that she acted unfairly regarding evidence and also was hostile in the proceedings. McCauley did not go into detail about why he wanted Garsh off the case, but those reasons appear to be why. The report says that the motion could "impair" McCauley and Garsh from operating as they normally should without the media "sensationalizing" things. The motion will be picked up at a later date and is now scheduled for October 21 for arguments.

Hernandez and his attorneys said that they did not agree with the motion and that they plan to object to the motion when the next hearing picks up later in October. The pretrial hearing on October 9 featured a number of motions as well as Hernandez taking the stand momentarily to answer questions about a potential conflict of interest between one of his attorneys and the wife of one of the prosecutors, who works at the same firm as Hernandez's lawyer Michael Fee.
