Chelsea's latest signing Oscar has set himself a target of winning the English Premier League and the Champions League, and wants his Brazilian teammate Neymar to help him achieve the success at Stamford Bridge.

Oscar has been the first-choice center midfield playmaker for Brazil at the Olympics, and has already put in some impressive performances alongside his more illustrious teammate Neymar. The Santos forward is considered to be one of the best players in the world, with many putting him up there with the likes of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

"While we are in London, I have been telling Neymar about the ambition of Chelsea," Oscar told The People. "When the time comes for him to join a European club, I hope I can persuade him.

Neymar is being tracked by all the big clubs in the world, and while the Brazilian is only expected to leave his country after the World Cup in 2014, Barcelona is seen as the most likely destination, with the Catalan giants recently confirming their intentions to bring the talented forward to the Nou Camp.

Oscar signed for the Blues from Internacional for a fee worth £25 million ($39 million) recently, following the signings of other highly-rated youngsters like Eden Hazard and Marko Marin, and the 20-year-old admitted he was excited to see the new arrivals. "When my agent told me that Chelsea were interested, it was not something I even needed to think about," he said.

"They are the champions of Europe, but they are still showing so much ambition by improving the squad. To win the European Cup and still sign guys like myself and Eden Hazard shows you the ambition the owner and manager have.

"With the squad we have, I will be looking at winning the Premier League title and also the Champions League.

"I know it is very difficult to win it twice in a row and even Barcelona could not do it, but with what Chelsea have in place it is very possible."

However, before achieving success at club level in England, Oscar wants to win gold for his country at the London Olympics. "To win an Olympic gold would be very special for me," he said.

"The Brazilian Football Confederation have told us that they don't expect anything less than gold, and that is what we are going to deliver."

Brazil play South Korea in the semi-finals on Tuesday as the South American giants look to win their first ever Olympic gold medal.

Meanwhile, Ashley Cole has vehemently denied reports that contract talks between him and the club have stalled due to his excessive wage demands.

Reports suggested, Cole had reached an impasse with the Chelsea board, due to the former Arsenal defender asking for wages of £200,000 a week ($312,000), with the situation prompting interest from Paris St Germain.

However, Cole denied the claims on his Twitter account, saying there were no such problems and contract talks between his representatives and the club had just got underway. "Contract talks have not stalled just started, and 200k are you for real, I'd never ask for that," Cole wrote.

"Like I said before don't listen or always believe what media say they aint got a clue."
