The Dallas Mavericks and Cleveland Cavaliers are playing on the NBA schedule on Sunday afternoon and the matchup from Quicken Loans Arena starts at 1 pm ET and LeBron James will be out of the lineup again with an injury and this will be a tough matchup for the Cavs, as the Mavs have Rajon Rondo and have played well overall this season.
The Cavaliers come into the game after a win against the Hornets and that was the first win without James in the lineup and now the team has the Mavs. James will be out for two weeks and after this matchup the team plays against the 76ers and that should be a win for the team. The Mavs have been very good and they are 24-10 on the season and right in the mix in the western conference.
Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving will have to step up with James out and Love started off with 27 points against the Hornets on Friday and he will have to continue playing well. The Mavericks got a boost by getting Rajon Rondo and they come in ranked first in the league in scoring per game this season. The Mavericks have the Cavaliers and they come in after a win against the Celtics on Friday night. The Mavericks play against the Brooklyn Nets next on the schedule and they are ranked seventh in assists per game this season.
Rondo had 29 points in his return to Boston and added five assists, while Tyson Chandler added 16 rebounds. Chandler Parsons has been a huge addition for the Mavericks and while his contract was derided a bit by some in the NBA, he has made a major impact for the Mavericks. The team is averaging nearly 110 points per game and Chandler comes in leading the team in rebounding this season, while Rondo is now tops in assists.
