The Mississippi State Bulldogs and Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets are playing live on the Capital One Orange Bowl schedule on ESPN on Wednesday night and the matchup is streaming from the WatchESPN website online on New Years Eve as the top 15 teams matchup and this could be a high scoring postseason matchup with Dak Prescott coming in after a great season.
The Bulldogs come in after losing to Ole Miss and now they have Georgia Tech on the schedule and they are 10-3 on the season coming into the game. Miss is 10-2 on the year and both teams are 6-2 on the conference schedule and Prescott comes in with nearly 3000 yards and 24 touchdowns. Prescott also rushed for nearly 1000 yards and 13 touchdowns and they lost two of the last three games of the season.
The team opened the year 9-1 before the loss to Alabama and that did the team in and then they lost to Ole Miss to end the year. Prescott helped the team to ranked 37th in passing yards per game and the team has been scoring 37 points per game to rank 14th in points this season. The defense was 11th in points against and they have a tough matchup with Georgia Tech and their ground game.
Georgia Tech comes into the game after a close loss against Florida State and they went 2-1 against the top 25 this season. The team is ranked third in the nation in rushing yards per game with 333 yards per contest and they are scoring 37 points per game. The team defense has been allowing 25 points per game this season and they have a very tough test with Prescott coming in.
