The Boise State Broncos and Arizona Wildcats are playing live on the college football bowl schedule for the VIZIO Fiesta Bowl matchup and the game from University of Phoenix Stadium in Phoenix starts at 4 pm ET on New Years Eve on ESPN and streaming online from the WatchESPN website as Rich Rodriguez and Anu Solomon lead the ‘Cats into the game.
Arizona comes in after finishing in the top 10 and they were one of the best teams in the Pac-12, but they couldn't beat out Oregon for the title. The team now has number 20 Boise State in a high profile bowl game and they come in 10-3 on the season after winning seven of nine game in the Pac-12. The conference was one of the best in the nation this season and they went 3-2 against the top 25 this year.
The Wildcats were one of the best offensive teams in the nation this year and they come in ranked 29th in passing yards per game. The team scored 34 points per game and also rushed for over 180 yards on the ground per contest. Boise State went 11-2 this year and 7-1 in their conference and now they will try and take down the Wildcats. Solomon comes in after passing for over 3400 yards and 27 touchdowns and leading Arizona to four straight wins to end the regular season before the matchup with Oregon.
The team had a tough stretch losing to USC and UCLA over three games and now they are looking to end the season on a positive note. Boise State comes in after winning over Fresno State to end the season and they come in after going 7-1 in the Mountain West Conference and they went 0-1 in the top 25 matchups this year. The team was 4-1 against their division and they come in ranked 26th in passing yards per game in the nation.
The Broncos were one of the best offensive teams in the nation this season and they ranked in the top 30 in passing and rushing yards per game. The team was ninth in scoring with nearly 40 points per game and they are looking to finish the season with 12 wins and they have a tough test with the Wildcats. Arizona started the season 5-0 and they stayed in the mix for a top spot in the conference all year and while they lost to Oregon, they were still one of the best teams in the Pac-12. Arizona won over Oregon once this season, but they couldn't do it when it really counted in the championship game.
