The Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers are playing live on the NFL schedule for Week 17 and the matchup is for the NFC North division title and things are at Lambeau Field and start up at 4:25 pm ET on FOX as Aaron Rodgers and Matthew Stafford fight for playoff position on Sunday and this is big for conference seeding, as the loser will be a wild card team.

The Packers come in after a nice win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and they are 11-4 on the season and they will win the division title with a victory on Sunday. The Packers are looking like a Super Bowl contender along with the Seattle Seahawks and they have gone 4-1 against the division this season and now have the Lions at home. Detroit has not won in Green Bay for quite some time and now they have the chance to lock up a solid seed and the division title with a win on the road.

The Packers come in ranked seventh in the league in passing yards per game and 11th in rushing and they have Aaron Rodgers once again playing at an MVP level. The team has Rodgers at 4155 yards this season and Eddie Lacy over 1000, while Jordy Nelson has been a Pro Bowl player and has 1433 yards this season. Rodgers comes in after throwing for 313 yards last week, including 131 yards to Randall Cobb and the Packers have now won six of the last seven games.

The team lost to the Bills a couple weeks ago, but now they are in position to get things done against the Lions in the final game of the season. The Lions come in at 11-4 as well and they come in after a win against the Chicago Bears and they are ranked first overall in rushing defense and they have been one of the best defenses in the league this season. Stafford has had another strong season with 4000 yards and Golden Tate has been excellent while stepping up for Calvin Johnson, who has been injured off and on this season.

The Lions have won four straight games after losing two in a row to the Cardinals and Patriots on the road and they have not allowed 20 points in this winning streak. The Lions have the defense to win a championship and while they have the offensive talent to do it, so far they have not been able to get things together like a couple years ago. The team now has to win on the road to get into the playoffs as the division winner and that means a top three seed, while the loser will get the wild card spot as one of the bottom seeds.
