Olympics 2012 Tennis Live Stream: Watch Andy Murray vs. Nicolas Almagro in Men's Quarterfinal

Aug 02, 2012 06:30 AM EDT

Andy Murray will play against Nicolas Almagro on Thursday afternoon at Wimbledon as the Men's Tennis tournament of the 2012 London Olympics has reached the quarterfinals. The live action begins from Court No.1 at 7a.m. ET/ 12 p.m. GMT.

With a victory, Murray can advance to the semifinals. The home town favorite will have the crowd backing him up in this match, similar to how they did on Wednesday while Murray played against Cyprus' Marcos Baghdatis.

The positive for Murray playing in front of the homecrowd is that they will surely back him up. The negative to playing in front of the home crowd is that once you begin to struggle you will hear it from them loud and clear.

In Wednesday's match, for example, Murray had easy shots in front of the need, but for some reason he did not execute. The crowd would grown in confusion and anger whenever the Scot messed up in these sort of ways.

Nevertheless he won. When he pumped his fists, the fans cheered loudly. When Murray was disappointed in himself, the crowd was too.

Murray will face 11th seed, Almagro. So far in the Men's Singles, Alamagro is undefeated. Not in the sense of matches won and lost, but he has yet to lose a set in the 2012 London Olympics.

Murray is the favorite to qualify for the semifinals in this match.
