The Kansas Jayhawks and Utah Utes are playing live on the NCAA men's college basketball schedule and the matchup is on ESPN and the WatchESPN website from the Sprint Center starts up past 3:15 as KU matches up with another ranked team in this top 15 game early in the season.

Kansas has already failed one major test with a bad loss to Kentucky, but they also passed one major test with a win against Michigan State on a neutral floor. Kansas lost by 30 to Kentucky and the Wildcats are considered to be the best team in the nation and they came into the weekend ranked at number one. Kansas is in the top 10 for the moment and they are 7-1 overall on the season and this will be the last matchup against a ranked team until conference play starts.

In earlier action: the North Carolina Tar Heels and Kentucky Wildcats are playing on the NCAA men's college basketball schedule on Saturday and the game is live from CBS at 12 pm ET noon from Rupp Arena as UNC and UK matchup in a top 25 game and the Wildcats come in at 10-0 on the year and ranked number one as John Calipari and Roy Williams go head to head.

The Wildcats come into the game undefeated on the season and 9-0 at home and they will play against the UCLA Bruins next after matching up with Columbia. The Lions played the team better than many expected but they couldn't get the upset and the Wildcats come in averaging 75 points per game and looking as good as anyone in the nation. The team is the favorite and they are expected to be back in the NCAA finals.

The team has lost Alex Poythress for the season and that will be a big hit and they have Aaron Harrison and Willie Cauley-Stein leading the way with him out. The defense is ranked first in the nation so far this season and Kentucky is also second in the nation in blocks per game. The team already has two wins in the top 10 with victories over Kansas and Texas and in that Jayhawks game they allowed just 40 points t0 KU and won by 30.

The team is by far the favorites in the SEC with Florida out of the rankings and if they can get by these next three games, they have a chance to go undefeated. The team plays UNC and then UCLA before a matchup with Louisville and currently those are the only ranked teams on the schedule for the Wildcats left.

The Tar Heels have a tough conference with Duke, Louisville, Virginia and Miami all ranked and the team has Notre Dame as well. Duke will be on the schedule twice over the final month and they will finish the season against the Tar Heels and that comes after two straight road games for North Carolina. Kentucky will now have to rely on some more players with Poythress out, as he was in the starting lineup with Aaron Harrison, Andrew Harrison, Karl-Anthony Towns and Willie Cauley-Stein and now he will need to be replaced moving forward.
