The NY Jets have had a very tough season and they are in the mix to get Marcus Mariota or Jameis Winston in the NFL draft for 2015, as the team is likely to move on from Geno Smith and Michael Vick as starting options, while GM John Idzik may fire Rex Ryan and clean house to bring in his own coach, with Jim Harbaugh a potential target.

The Jets are set to finish in the bottom of the AFC East this season and they have been dealing with a ton of injuries and bad performances this year. Smith has not been the answer and when Vick has played he has not been much better. According to ESPN.com, GM John Idzik has "alienated" many in the organization around him and Adam Schefter writes that he has not played "politics" well within the front office of the Jets. The fans have been very upset over the way Idzik has handled things, creating websites and billboards asking the team to fire him, while support appears to be waning among many in the organization.

Woody Johnson may take action on Idzik this offseason along with Rex Ryan, but it's more likely he keeps Idzik and allows him to bring in his own head coach. The Jets end the season with a home game against the New England Patriots and some fans have produced "protest towels" for that game to show their displeasure with the team this season.

The Jets are likely to make a move after the season at the head coach position and that means Rex Ryan could be fired by John Idzik. While Idzik has received a ton of criticism from fans this year, Woody Johnson may not clean house up that high and that could lead to Jim Harbaugh or Greg Schiano taking over. The Jets have had a very tough season with Geno Smith and Michael Vick and with a top five pick likely, New York may look at Jameis Winston or Mariota as options. Mariota is the likely Heisman winner, while Winston comes in as a highly regarded prospect at QB.

Winston has not had as good a season as he had last year or as good a year as Mariota, but many see him as the better pocket passer. Mariota has 38 touchdowns and two picks this season and he could be an option as well. The Buccaneers are expected to look at Mariota and they could end up as the top overall pick with the way they have played this season. The Raiders may look at quarterback as well, while the Jets are expected to pick at least one QB this draft after the way Smith has played.

The Jets defense has been solid this season overall and they are ranked in the top five in rushing defense. The team is ranked 32nd in passing yards per game and second in rushing yards per game, with Smith throwing for 1778 yards and eight touchdowns. The team has lost three in a row since winning over the Steelers and they finish the season with Tennessee, New England and Miami.
