The Connecticut Huskies may be undefeated to start their 2014 season, but those wins have not come easy as the team attempts to successfully follow up winning the national championship last year. The team had to rally from a nine-point deficit to beat Bryant while also needing some big plays to beat the College of Charleston. Now the Huskies take on Puerto Rico and the Dayton Flyers as their offense continues to work out lingering issues.

Ryan Boatright has been the star for the Huskies through two games. The senior had 24 points against Bryant, 16 of those coming in the second half. He also had 19 points and six rebounds against the College of Charleston. Boatright leads the team in most categories so far this season, averaging 21.5 points through two games. He told the media that everyone just needs reps and time on the court to fully get the in the groove of the season. After only leading Charleston by single digits for most of the second half of the game, improvement is necessary.

"It's just working out," Boatright said, via ESPN.com. "It's all repetition on shots and taking game shots that I know I'm going to get in the offense, and watching a lot of film knowing that coach likes to run a lot of ball screens. And getting a lot better as a point guard learning to read defenses."

Dayton has had a thrilling start to their season. The Flyers opened the tournament in Puerto Rico with a buzzer-beater tip-in from Devon Scott to beat Texas A&M. The team returns two starters and five contributors from the March Madness team of last year. The Flyers were one of the surprises of the tournament when they beat Duke. However, the team lost to Florida in the regional final, missing a chance to face the Huskies in the semifinals.

The Flyers have started the year out as a defensive unit instead of being a high scoring offense. They held Texas A&M to just 34.6 percent shooting while forcing 21 turnovers. However, the Huskies are much more difficult team to face. Dayton has won their last six of nine games against teams ranked in the Top 25 and they hope to continue that trend in Puerto Rico.
