The Kansas State Wildcats and West Virginia Mountaineers are playing live on the Fox Sports 1 college football schedule on Thursday and the game from Milan Puskar Stadium starts up at 7 pm ET as the number 12 team in the nation visits WVU for the Big 12 conference game.

Kansas State comes in after a tough loss to TCU and now they are 7-2 on the season and they come in at 5-1 on the Big 12 schedule. The team now faces West Virginia and the Mountaineers come in at 6-4 on the season and they already have three losses in the conference. The Wildcats will play against Kansas next for their rivalry matchup before a game against Baylor and that will be a heck of a way to end the season.

The team now has a stretch of three of the next four games on the road and that included the TCU game and now they have WVU on the road before hosting Kansas. The next matchup against Baylor will be on the road and right now Baylor is in the top 10 and they are one of the best offensive teams in the nation. Kansas State had won five straight before losing to TCU and now they will have to find a way to finish the season strong after some solid play earlier in the year.

The team comes into the game ranked in the top 25 in scoring defense and scoring offense as they have the 20th best points per game mark in the nation. West Virginia comes into the game after a loss against Texas and they will next play against the Iowa State Cyclones. Clint Trickett is playing well this season and he has 3173 yards and 18 TDs on the year and he will be the key for West Virginia in this matchup.

WVU comes in with the 12th best passing offense in the nation and they are scoring over 30 points per game and this could end up a shootout depending on how things develop. West Virginia opened the season with a loss to Alabama and after winning four straight earlier in the season, the team now has lost two in a row heading into the KSU game. The team now has this matchup before playing Iowa State and that will end the season and it comes after their major upset earlier of number four Baylor.

The Big 12 has Baylor and TCU as the best teams in the conference and they are getting close to the playoffs, but it will be hard to get in. The SEC and the Pac-12 look tougher and Florida State is coming out of the horrific ACC and they are currently undefeated. Kansas State will be looking to get the major road win on Thursday.
