Quarterback Robert Griffin III #10 of the Washington Redskins takes a second quarter hit from defensive back Brandon Dixon #39 of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at FedExField on November 16, 2014 in Landover, Maryland."

The Washington Redskins lost to a one-win Buccaneers team on Sunday and now some fans and others in the media are calling for RG3 to go to the bench in favor of Colt McCoy and this comes after DeSean Jackson called out Robert Griffin III and his teammates following the loss to Tampa Bay for Week 12 on Sunday.

According to Pro Football Talk, Jackson spoke after the game and later posted a message on social media that seemingly called out Griffin and his teammates after a subpar performance against the Buccaneers. Tampa Bay. Jackson wrote on Instagram that "you can't do epic shi*t with basic people" and that came after Griffin himself made some comments (that he surely will say were talent out of context, but read the text - they weren't). Griffin said that he didn't play well, but also that his teammates did not play well and that was one of the reasons why he did not play well.

Griffin has not played well and has not looked good in a long time and while he is not a "selfish" player, there does seem to be an attitude issue with RG3 when it comes to the media, criticism of his play and his standing in the locker room. Britt McHenry took some flak at ESPN for a report she did a few weeks ago about Griffin and the Redskins and while he may have misinterpreted some howling at the media interviewing RG3, one thing she did not miss was that there is a leadership void here in Washington. On top of that, there is an issue with Griffin and his teammates, even if it's not everyone in the locker room.

Jackson's comments after the game and on Monday could be directed at RG3 and even if they are not, they are vague enough to be interpreted that way and that's an issue. The Redskins have been this way for a long time and the more Griffin continues to respond to social media criticism, the more attention gets thrown at the Redskins. Griffin seemingly always takes a "me against the world" attitude against all criticism and while that can be good at times for football players, in this case it clearly is creating some issues in Washington.

Using the word "selfish" is like a buzz word so let's leave that out, but in some ways Griffin plays that style, as he always feels the need to be a hero. Griffin scrambles around too much and gets sacked and while he often makes spectacular plays, the downside of playing that way is sacks and that leaves the team in tough positions. How else to explain this troubling stat, props to Dave Zirin from the Nation: RG3: "first player in NFL history to be sacked at least three times in eight straight starts." That will not help a team win and those sacks can be demoralizing to an offense that's trying to put scoring drives together.

The Redskins have some issues and they are now down at the bottom of the NFC East with the Giants, who have also had some mighty problems this year.
