Ryan Mallett with the classic Tweet-and-Delete move that now has the quarterback in some hot water. The Houston Texans are not winning and that is mainly due to their offense. Ryan Fitzpatrick is not playing well which is making Mallett want onto the field to try his hand at starting for Houston. The quarterback opted to tweet out his frustration on the matter before quickly deleting it. Too bad this is the Internet and nothing truly gets deleted.

Thanks to the Texans fanbase, Mallett reportedly tweeted out a plea for more playing time following the Texans' loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Of course Mallett immediately realized that putting his frustrations out on social media was not a wise choice for a quarterback in a contract year. After he deleted the tweet, he posted a new one that said, "I'm staying focused for what the time comes, Seize the opportunity #justwaiting."

Would starting Mallett be such a bad choice? The Houston Texans traded for the quarterback for a reason. The team has Fitzpatrick and rookie Tom Savage who is clearly not ready for starting action. Having Mallett gives the team a quarterback that could at least attempt to spark the offense. On Sunday, the Texans forced the Eagles to turn the ball over four times and could not capitalize. Head coach Bill O'Brien admits that all options are on the table at this point.

I think we have to evaluate everything," O'Brien said, via Brian Smith of the Houston Chronicle. "I don't think you can always - and I've said this along - I don't think you can look at one position and put all the blame on that. I think we have to look at, as far as what we're doing offensively, we have to look at ... who's playing what, what positions they're playing, how we're getting the ball, how we're playing at every position, including quarterback - we have to look at all of that."

Mallett has little to no experience as a starting quarterback, but he did spend three years learning underneath Tom Brady which has helped his stock in the league. Of course seeing the struggles of Kirk Cousins might lead the Texans to think otherwise when it comes to starting Mallett, but the team has nothing to lose at this point. Houston has three of the best offensive weapons in Andre Johnson, DeAndre Hopkins and Arian Foster on the roster and yet still sits with a losing record. Mallett could be the needed spark of energy.
