The New York Red Bulls and DC United are playing live on the MLS playoffs schedule on Sunday and the first leg match in the east conference semis starts up at 4 pm ET from Red Bull Arena before the return trip to the district and now Thierry Henry and company come in after getting their first postseason win at home in years and now they are looking for a strong performance.
The Red Bulls and the United have a history of matchups in the Major League Soccer playoffs and now NY is looking to keep things going after winning against Sporting Kansas City to advance into the next round. The Bulls came back to win over KC after getting two goals and pulling ahead and that eliminated the defending MLS Cup champs from the playoffs.
The team won the knockout round game to snap their home streak in the postseason and now United comes in after being the best team in the east. The United played very well this season and they have not lost over the last six games and that makes this a tough matchup for NY with the quick turnaround.
