The Vancouver Canucks and Edmonton Oilers are playing live on the NHL schedule on Saturday night and the matchup of Canadian teams is from Rexall Place and is on TV from the CBC and streaming online from NHL.com as the western conference clubs play.

The Canucks come into the game after a win against the Montreal Canadiens in overtime and they will next play against the Nashville Predators and that will be at home. The team is ranked fifth in the league in goals per game and they are also in the top 10 in power play percentage and penalty kill percentage through the first few weeks of the season.

The Oilers will next play against the Flyers and they will are ranked in the top half of the league in scoring in goals per game this season. The Oilers shut out the Canadiens earlier with 29 saves from Ben Scrivens and they are hoping to contend for the playoffs this season.
