The New Jersey Devils and Pittsburgh Penguins are playing live on the NHL schedule on Tuesday night and the matchup is live from CONSOL Energy Center at 7 pm ET as the Metro division rivals meet up in an eastern conference game and Sidney Crosby will be looking to keep the Pens playing well as the season opens up.

Sidney Crosby has been off to a very good start this season and the team comes in after a win over the Predators that was a 3-0 shutout. Crosby had a goal and two assists in that game and it came after a stunning loss against the Red Wings in overtime and now they have nine points to start the season with a 4-2-1 record. The Penguins next play against the Kings and that will be a home matchup with Los Angeles coming to visit.

The Penguins come into the game at second in the league in goals per game and first in power play percentage and they have been scoring in bunches. The Devils come into the game after a win in overtime against the Senators and they will continue on their road trip now against the Penguins. The team is eighth in the league in scoring and second in power play percentage and that means both of these teams have similar strengths to start the year. The Devils have 10 points and they are second in the division and they will play the Jets next on the schedule after this game.
