NBA Season Opener 2014 Schedule: Date and Matchups As Basketball Starts October 28

The NBA 2014 season opener schedule has the San Antonio Spurs, Houston Rockets and LA Lakers in action as the basketball season starts on Tuesday, October 28 and the first game will be the Orlando Magic and New Orleans Pelicans along with the Mavs and Spurs at 8 pm ET and that game will be on TV from the TNT Network.

The schedule for the first night of the season starts up at 8 pm ET with San Antonio hosting the Dallas Mavericks, while the New Orleans Pelicans host the Orlando Magic. The late game on TNT for the doubleheader has the Houston Rockets against the LA LAkers in Los Angeles, giving Dwight Howard a fun start to the season a she takes on his own team.

The Wednesday schedule has games on ESPN and the first matchup will be the Chicago Bulls and New York Knicks at 8 pm. Oklahoma City and Portland is on at 10:30 pm ET on ESPN and that comes after other matchups like Houston vs. Utah, Golden State and the Kings as well as the LA Lakers and Suns. The early schedule has Brooklyn and Boston, Washington against Miami, Atlanta against Toronto and Detroit against Denver.

The Spurs played against the Sacramento Kings and Atlanta Hawks before finishing up the preseason against the Houston Rockets on the road. The team comes back after winning the NBA title last season and they were a top 10 scoring offense and defense and are considered favorites from the west. The Spurs won over the Miami Heat and they start off with a Texas matchup with the Mavs in San Antonio.

The Lakers played against the Rockets and lost before taking on the Blazers in the preseason and after that they played against the Sacramento Kings for their last preseason game. The team takes on the Rockets and Houston comes in after playing the Miami Heat, Magic and San Antonio Spurs.
