The NBA season is around the corner and some free agent options on the market include Ray Allen and soon to be Will Bynum and those players could be options for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Wahsington Wizards, Chicago Bulls, Miami Heat or LA Lakers as the schedule gets closer and this comes as Allen has been a main target for the Cavs, while Bynum reportedly is getting waived from the Celtics after his trade from the Pistons.

According to Pro Basketball Talk, Bynum was acquired by the Celtics in a deal last week and he likely will be waived by the Celtics, as the team already has 16 guaranteed contracts and only 15 spots to use. Bynum is still with the Celtics and Marc Stein at ESPN writes that he likely will be waived in the next week or so and once he does, he should get some interest on the free agent market. Bynum has played well in his time as a backup with the Pistons and he could be an option for a number of teams once he hits the market.

Bynum has averaged 8.7 points and 9.8 points over the last two seasons and he played in 56 games last year with the Pistons. The Wizards could be an option for Bynum once he is let go, as they lost Bradley Beal to a wrist fracture and now he will be out for up to two months. Sources said that the Celtics will likely waive Bynum and Marc Stein reports that the two sides are going to go over things in the next week to see what will happen.

Bynum getting cut loose will give the Celtics $900,000 in savings and they are looking to stick with Rajon Rondo, Marcus Smart, and Phil Pressey as their point guards. Last season Bynum averaged 8.9 points and 3.7 assists in 18.8 minutes per game with the Pistons. Allen and Bynum are not huge impact players, but they can make a huge difference when it comes to depth and when teams make the postseason.

The Cavaliers are still hoping Ray Allen signs and it's looking likely that Allen will wait until the middle of the season or later to sign. Allen is a legit free agent and can sign anywhere and while the Cavaliers are the frontrunners by all reports, the Chicago Bulls and other teams have also shown interest. According to ESPN.com, Allen has had calls from the Bulls, Cavaliers, Miami Heat, San Antonio Spurs, LA Clippers and Washington Wizards this offseason as well as his old team the Milwaukee Bucks.

Allen wants to battle for a championship and now that the season is getting ready to start, it's clear that the Spurs, Clippers and Wizards are not likely options. The Wizards lost Bradley Beal and may want some more offensive support, but Allen is not going to play a ton of minutes so that move doesn't make much sense. The Bucks thought why the heck not go after Allen and he said now, while the Bulls and Cavaliers look like the best options for him.
