The Oregon Ducks have proven their ability to bounce back after a tough loss. The Ducks fell to Arizona 31-24 despite averaging 48.5 points in their first four games. However, they entered UCLA and put down a convincing win of 42-30 in a tough environment. Now, the Ducks return home to face the Washington Huskies as Marcus Mariota aims to keep the 11-game win streak against the Huskies alive.
Mariota certainly looked fine against the Bruins, throwing for 210 yards and four touchdowns while Royce Freeman rushes for 121 yards and two touchdowns. Mariota continues to remain one of the best quarterbacks in college football, poised to be a top draft pick. The quarterback has 17 touchdowns with no interceptions on the season while owning the highest passer rating of 193.7. The offensive line played the biggest different in the win, no surrendering any sacks after giving 12 in the previous two games. Several players are still out with injuries but the team is adjusting.
The offensive line will be tested against Washington. The Huskies defensive front is tied for third in the league, giving up just 24 on the year. That has helped the Huskies be on their way to the best start since 2001 when they began the year 7-1. They are fresh off a bye week after beating California the week before. Quarterback Cyler Miles threw for 273 yards and three touchdowns in the win while the defense stopped the Bears' big offense. The Huskies are only allowing 21.3 points per game. Washington is 2-0 on the road, but have dropped their last 20 of 21 road matches to Top 25 opponents.
The Ducks are looking to keep their Washington Huskies alive. Oregon has won six in a row against the team by at least 28.5 points. They have also won 28 straight games against unranked opponents prior to losing to the Wildcats.
