Washington Wizards vs. Maccabi Haifa Live Stream: Watch Online Streaming NBA Preseason Game

Oct 15, 2014 06:56 PM EDT

The Washington Wizards and Maccabi Haifa are playing on the NBA preseason schedule on Wednesday and the game from the Verizon Center starts up at 7 pm ET as John Wall leads the Wiz in this exhibition game against a team from Israel and they come in after winning their last game and the team is 3-1 and have some issues to work out with Bradley Beal injured.

The Wizards come into the season after making the playoffs last year and they won a series for the first time in years. The team won over the Bulls and now they have high expectations this season for John Wall, but with Bradley Beal out two months with a wrist fracture, the team likely will have to rely on Paul Pierce for more offense. The team comes in after a win over the Pistons and they next have a matchup with the Charlotte Hornets after that.

The Wizards will be without Beal for two months and that is a huge loss and while it's not as big as Kevin Durant getting injured, it still will be tough for the team to come back from that. The Wizards won against the Pistons in their last game, but it was not due to the free throw shooting and that is one area where they need to improve on. The team is going under 70 percent in the preseason and while yes, it's just the preseason, it is an issue the team needs to fix.

The team is keeping Beal and young star Otto Porter in their plans after exercising options on those players and Porter now could finally step up after being invisible last season. Glen Rice, Porter, Wall and Pierce all have extra pressure now that Beal is out and he could be back a bit sooner if recovery goes well. Beal could have been out for more time depending on how bad the break was, but he only was hit with a six to eight week recovery and that is huge for the Wizards.

The Wizards are playing against Haifa on Wednesday and the team comes in from the Israeli Basketball Premier League and it comes after the Nets played against Maccabi Tel Aviv earlier in the preseason. Last season the team ranked in the top 10 in team defense by points per game and that was a big improvement from the year before and now they are looking to get even better. Wall and Pierce will be front and center once the season starts and if Wall continues to develop, the Wizards should be a threat in the east to win a decent playoff spot and possibly the division.
