Oct 15, 2014 06:54 PM EDT

The Indiana Pacers and Cleveland Cavaliers are playing live on the NBA preseason slate on Wednesday night and the schedule picks up at 7 pm ET on NBA TV and has LeBron James and the Cavs hosting Indy from the Cintas Center in Cincinnati and this gives the rest of Ohio the chance to see the King after he rested against the Bucks and the Cavs are now 3-0 in the preseason.

The Cavaliers come in after winning last week against the Miami Heat in the first matchup with LeBron James and his former team, while the Bucks were the last game. The Cavs won that by six and Kevin Love had a strong game with 25 points and he could be the key for the entire eastern conference this season. The Cavs made a big trade with Andrew Wiggins for him and now he has the chance to show everyone why.

Love will be key and the team plays against the Pacers now and then they have a matchup back in Cleveland with the Dallas Mavericks on Friday. The Pacers were looked at as a threat to the Cavs in the east, but now that Paul George is out, there is a good chance they will not be there at the end, even if they make the playoffs. James knows that it will take a lot to turn the Cavs around, but the team has already added a number of veterans and that should be big as James comes in.

The team was ranked in the bottom half of the league in points allowed per game, points per game and assists per game last season and adding James should get all of that into the top half. The team gave up Wiggins and Anthony Bennett for Love, but he has turned into one of the best forwards in the league and now the team has a legit Big 3. The combo of James, Kyrie Irving and Love is one of the best in the league and they should be there at the end in the eastern conference.

The Pacers are dealing with a tough injury to Paul George this season and that will be very hard for the team to overcome. The team added Rodney Stuckey and lost Lance Stephenson to free agency and now they have to make up for the loss of George. Roy Hibbert likely is not getting traded and now him, George Hill and David West will have to pull things out. The Bulls have managed to make the playoffs over the past two seasons with Derrick Rose injured and now the Pacers will have to do some of the same.

The Pacers were ranked number two in defense last season and 24th in points per game and them not having George will make both ends of the court weaker. George said he hopes to be back for the playoffs or the end of the season, but for anyone that saw the video, who knows. The Pacers have the Mavericks next after playing the Cavs and they are coming into the game after a loss to Dallas.
